I’m so glad I took the plunge as I am having the best time on this programme
Carolyn Clark - Former Bee Academy Student
This year I took some time out to decide if I felt ready to train as an alcohol coach. There are so many options for training at the moment but when I saw that the Bee Academy had finally put a training package together I knew that the Universe was telling me that it was time to act.
I’m so glad I took the plunge as I am having the best time on this programme. I’m now half way through the course and finding it so interesting. We’ve so far covered topics such as alcohol awareness, introduction to coaching, coaching skills, the stress response, guilt and shame, living by our values.
The trainers are experienced coaches who we meet twice a week for live classes, and we are given the opportunity to practice our skills. The coaching practice sessions are so useful as it is incredibly beneficial to have real time feedback on our performance as a coach. The course candidates are put into different coaching pairs each week and we are encouraged to meet in between the sessions to discuss a given topic each week, and to have a practice at a coaching case study. The online learning platform is user friendly and the course is set out in a way that it is easy to find your way around, read the lessons and watch the videos between sessions. I am certain that the experience of undertaking this diploma will give me all the skills to start coaching my own clients.
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning online, something I have never done before
Jane Sproston - Former Bee Academy Student
Deciding to undertake the Bee Academy Sober Coaching Diploma was at first slightly nerve-racking. But I needn’t have worried. Everything about it is so accessible. From the Training Team to the course material, workshops and online community. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning online, something I have never done before. I found it to be set out in such a user-friendly way. The course content is really enlightening and thought provoking. It really draws on skills we already have and highlights the things we need to work more on. It's been a really positive experience. Being part of such a welcoming and friendly community has been so uplifting too. I would definitely recommend doing it. What have you got to lose?
I surprised myself
Phil Gorman - Former Bee Academy Student
I really enjoyed the course, I was nervous about doing my first coaching call for the case study, but I surprised myself and found I had enough knowledge from the course to be able to offer useful advice and coaching. I can’t wait to qualify and start building my coaching career! If you are thinking about a career in coaching I’d definitely recommend the Bee Academy Sober Coaching Diploma Course
Bee Sober is one of the most supportive sobriety groups I have come across.
Claire Hatwell - Former Bee Academy Student
Bee Sober is one of the most supportive sobriety groups I have come across. I’d been looking for almost a year for the right sort of course to do, but nothing quite seemed right until I found this one.
With a mixture of written work and online sessions I felt I could learn under my own steam, but with the support of people who really care about the progress their students make.
I’m really looking forward to being a Sober Coach.
I attended the Bee Academy and it has opened up a new world!
Sue S - Former Bee Academy Student
I attended the Bee Academy and it has opened up a new world! This was the perfect addition to my nursing career. Alex and Sarah are amazing teachers, articulate and always available for any questions, or if I am in need of support. My coaching group still stays in touch with one another as we certainly bonded. Although I live in the USA, I chose Bee Academy for my coaching certification and am so glad I did!
